On The Contrary...

New Blog

So this is kind of hard for me, but I moved to WordPress. I know I know, I’m horrible, but I did it for me, because I need a website that will let me blog how I want to, not just some “microblogging” like you do here. Needless to say I’m moving up. I will still have my Tumblr account so that readers on my new blog can access my archives, but besides that, this blog is dead. Books, Food, and Movies

Guys… I have never been so hungry in my life. I really wish I had some Mexican food! Oh Lord how that would make my night. I could just eat up two orders of Enchiladas Verde from this great Mexican place in town called “Los Rancheros”. Mmm Mmm MMM!! Just thinking about it makes me hate the fact more that I don’t have a plate sitting in front of me. “Go get some!” You say? Trust me I would… if it weren’t 1:35 AM!! Don’t you just hate that? You want to go do something, but there is always just one tiny thing that doesn’t allow you. 

Don’t worry, this post ins’t all a rant about hunger, the title should have told you that one. I have been able to catch up on my reading and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I have been reading on Tina Fey’s “Bossypants” for a LONG time because I just can never get in the mood read, but lately I have been rather “Book worm-ish” and I have been able to get ahead. Tina Fey, if you are reading this (Which I HIGHLY, HIGLY doubt it) THANK YOU so much for the great laughs in this comedic memoir! Just a little side note, I love when you are reading a hilarious book in public and you just bust out laughing for no apparent reason to the people around, but you are so caught up in the story line that you don’t even look up at the odd looks going your direction! I’m just after the part where her and her husband go on their honey moon and it’s been one of my favorite chapters so far! The cruise ship catches on fire guys! She has her own little Kate Winslet/Titanic moment! This book is definitively going down in my favorites. 

So just earlier this week, around Tuesday; I and a friend went to see a movie. So I realized me and him were already half way to the theater before I asked what movie he had planned on seeing. So after he told me “Cowboys & Aliens” I thought: “Okay, a legitimate Syfy film, should be good.” So we get there 5 minutes late, and we have just gotten to the part where the doctor is sewing up this mysterious wound of his, and as I watched I began to see and be filled in on what I had missed. So I gave it a 6 out of 10. Now don’t hate me for those of you that like it, I have my reasons! For one, -SPOILER ALERT- -SPOILER ALERT- -REVEALING OF INFORMATION AHEAD- Okay, are you gone? I’ll give those of you who haven’t seen it a second to go back to that viral video you have on the tab over… I’ll skip a few lines down.

Okay for one, why on Earth would Aliens want gold? Are their super advanced space ships, and advanced societies not enough? I mean they had a scalpel made out of light!! Is gold supposed to fuel their ships or something?! Never told why in the film, just because it’s “Just as foreign to us, as it is to them” This one chick from another planet said. Okay, just because they destroy one ship from the whole alien race doesn’t mean they won the battle between aliens and humans. Last of all how did a hand full of Cowboys who only have guns and arches beat a bunch of Aliens with super advanced weapons and airborne advantages?… SHENANIGANS!! I mean it took one guy 5 shots just to give this one alien a limp… A LIMP!! You take my entire leg off with 5 shots! Anyways go see this for yourselves. I didn’t hate, it the actors in it are Western classics, featuring Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, and it held my attention, but there were just things that didn’t make sense. Would I watch it again? … Meh, it depends on how I fell that day. I could have lived without seeing it.

Type…Type… “Create Post”

Headphones in, Load Pandora, Tumblr up, sip coffee, and then what happens next is the birth of a great blog post. Yep, so I guess that’s like my secret to creating the wonderful posts I produce. So I stayed up all night because I’m Nocturnal (You all know that) and I have just watched 6 episodes of Jersey Shore on Netflix. Yeah, it’s better to not ask why. I probably watch it just to feel better about myself. It honestly frightens me that so many people could possibly be interested in that abomination of worthy TV air time. I can’t say much since I watch it too. 

So we are a paragraph later and this post still has no meaning. Tomorrow morning I leave for Gulf Shores (The only beach in Alabama, I don’t know why we go there so much when we have literally hundreds of beaches in Florida. I mean besides the fact that my aunt lives there, it’s nothing different than Panama City Beach, or Destin) for a mini vacation. Yeah sorry to make that one “Parenthesis Side Note” so long. So this next part could be considered a “Mini rant”. 

What is the deal with Pandora? I mean you change a song four times just to be told that their polices won’t allow it. Then there is an advertisement for Home Depot between every song, and I’m sorry that I don’t want to listen to the “
“Suggested” Taylor Swift song that I have had to skip past 5 times yesturday. I have a good taste in music, I’m not a musically challenged 8th grader! Ugh, I guess I should upgrade to whatever that one thing they have is called. “Pandora One” or something. Who cares, I’m not joining because it doesn’t even suggest songs that I like half the time. 

So I guess this was just a “What’s on my mind” post. I think I’m going to go buy some self tanner, a tub of hair gel, and lay in my bed and watch Snooki dance on a table for the rest of the day.
